✔️ How does Diatrol MR 30 Tablet work?

Diatrol MR 30 Tablet works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas. It stimulates insulin secretion from the pancreas and decreases blood sugar levels.

✔️ Side Effects of Diatrol MR 30 Tablet

• Common: Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) symptoms include sweating, dizziness, and shivering. Severe cases require immediate medical attention.
• Liver Disorders: Rare cases of liver dysfunction, indicated by yellow skin and eyes, require immediate medical attention.
• Skin Disorders: Rash, redness, itching, hives, and severe allergic reactions like angioedema may occur.
• Blood Disorders: Rare reductions in blood cell counts causing paleness, prolonged bleeding, bruising, sore throat, and fever.
• Digestive Disorders: Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhea, and constipation.
• Eye Disorders: Temporary vision changes due to blood sugar level fluctuations.
• Severe Reactions: In rare cases, severe changes in blood cells, blood sodium reduction, or life-threatening liver failure may occur.

  • Asthma or labor medications (e.g., intravenous salbutamol)
  • Medicines for breast disorders or heavy menstrual bleeding (e.g., danazol)
  • St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) preparations
• Blood Glucose Disturbances: Fluoroquinolone antibiotics may cause blood sugar disturbances when taken with Gliclazide, especially in elderly patients.
• Increased Anticoagulant Effect: Gliclazide may increase the effects of blood-thinning medicines like warfarin.

Food, Drink, and Alcohol:

• Food: Gliclazide can be taken with food and non-alcoholic drinks.
